About Melody Walter

As read on you will realize my passion for fitness, competition and the desire to help others become the best version of themselves. Born and raised in Colorado, I found the love for fitness at an early age enjoying trail runs, skiing, hiking and outdoor cycling. As a competitive student athlete, I ran varsity track and swam varsity as well as continuing to compete in amateur swim and running events as an adult while living in Colorado and California. As a young adult I began to learn and realize the need and importance for functional and mobility training. I began exercising the 10 components of fitness: cardio, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy via different modalities of exercise which are the foundations to all movement Doing this safeguarded me against injury and allows me to continue to enjoy outdoor sports and physical activities well into my mid-forties. Health and fitness continued to be an important value in my life which led to an early profession over twenty years ago as a personal trainer (NASM/AFAA/APEX), catering to adult and child athletes. While in California, I was excited to influence and share my passion for swimming and personal training with my then five year old son who swam for a competitive swim club for seven years. This opened up the new opportunity to become a certified Swim Coach through USA Swimming in 2019 where I coached and mentored children ages five through eighteen in the pool and on land for supplemental fitness training. I have just recently moved back to my hometown Colorado Springs and my family and I have settled into the Wolf Ranch subdivision. I have learned and believe in how fitness and nutrition is not only a preventative healthcare, but a way everyone innately desires to be the best version of themselves, to live a long, quality life and to share this with their loved ones. I believe everyone has the ability to become a fit and healthy individual as long as they believe in themselves; are committed to not giving up and willing to put in the work because fitness is truly a journey well worth every step. I currently hold personal training and nutrition certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
